If every country is its own judge, including Jamaica, there may not be an answer to the question: which one has the most delicious foods? But what about: which combination of Jamaican foods or dish is the most delicious? I suspect there may not be an answer to that either. Well, try this one: which Jamaican dish best represent what is distinctly Jamaican? I understand it is ackee and saltfish with banana, yam and dumpling. But why these foods? What about jerk pork and jerk chicken with fried dumpling, festival and bammy? What’s in your plate?
